We employ a hot air method of roasting which suspends our beans in a stream of hot air and allows for more precise temperature control. This causes the beans to roast more evenly with no risk of scorching or smoke damage and produces bright, clean tasting coffee.
At The Village Roaster we pride ourselves on our ability to customise our products to our customer’s requirements. We have the flexibility to handle most order sizes and budgets.

The Village Roaster is committed to sourcing and producing sustainable, organic coffee. We are very aware of the social and environmental impacts of global coffee production and have taken steps to ensure we are in-line, if not ahead of, the most ecological production methods.
Who We Are
The Village Roaster is an established coffee roasting facility specialising in fair trade and organic roasted coffee. It is based in Auckland and is owned and managed by Sune Farrimond.

Sune has more than 14 years experience in the sourcing and roasting of premium coffee. He has been responsible for the blend development and manufacture of some of New Zealand’s leading coffee brands.
Sune's knowledge of bean quality, recipes and roasting techniques has been honed through site visits to some of the world’s most exotic coffee plantations. |
